Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!!
We had a very fun Halloween this year. We kicked off the weekend festivities with a ward Trunk-or-Treat. We attended with our friends, the Posts. Then we celebrated Saturday by Trick-or-Treating in our neighborhood and having a soup party at our house afterward. It was a fun weekend and the kids had a great time. Macy, Ellie, Morgan and Jaydeen at the Fall Festival party for our ward.

Morgan and Macy have authentic Chinese costumes sent by their grandparents in Taiwan.

Macy and Jaydeen living the high-life and getting the royal treatment between doors! Both girls sported different costumes this next night.

All the parents hanging out while the kiddos are knocking!

We had quite the gang. There were 10 kids trick-or-treating in our group.

Preston was cozy and warm and could've cared less about all the festivities!
He hung out in the stroller the entire time!

Ashley and Morgan - best buddies!
Macy and Joe Dirt, uh-er Wade, winding down. It was getting cold!

Here's the whole family. I'm a construction worker, Wade is "Randy", a creepy mechanic, but so many people thought he was Joe Dirt (I guess it's the wig),
Preston in his Peapod outfit and the Chinese girls. We had fun dressing up.

Daddy with his boy.

Happy Halloween!!

Carving Pumpkins

For Family Home Evening on Monday night, we carved our pumpkin. Morgan was way excited and even Macy got into the "guts" part. Morgan wanted Cinderella with intricate details, but we talked her down to a more simple design. Phew, it was much less painful and she could help. It turned out cute!

Preston's first carving...not so impressed.

This is it, all lit up!

Mostly Pictures

It's no secret that I'm not the best blogger in the world. Because I haven't shown my poor parents in Taiwan many pictures, I wanted to give them a rundown of the past few months (before they get home next month). Below are some pics beginning at the hospital in early August and showing all the history in between until the end of September. Not lots of commentary, but lots of pictures!!

Getting some fresh air.

My sister Julie worked so hard for one full week following Preston's birth.

First Smiles. (about 5 days old)

I love how they crunch up so small.

Macy and Quinn hanging out.

Morgan's first day of school. First Grade!

Nice lipstick, Macy!

Preston's FIRST bath. We are all excited as you can see.

More make-up. Nice.

What is it with our girsl and their love of make-up and posing?

Sisters chilling out.

Preston Wade Hardie

We welcomed the newest member of our family Preston Wade Hardie, born July 30, 2009 at 2:33 p.m. He weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz and was 20 inches long. He is the sweetest little guy and so cute (but we are totally biased!). His entrance was a little dramatic, but all is well and he's already growing so much after almost one week. Here's a rundown of pictures on the day he was born starting at the beginning.
Picture taken just before leaving for the hospital
to be induced! Big Mama!!!Macy's going to miss her perch. Big Boy 7 lbs 9 oz.
Can't really see it, but he has tons of dark hair.

Already getting tons of lovin' from his sisters.

See all those kisses? He's gotta be resilient!
Morgan has been anticipating him so much. She is going
to be such a big helper. He has a bit of a cone head because
they had to use the help of a vacuum to get him out, but it
will subside in a couple of weeks.
Macy's world is about to be rocked...
but, she's keen on him in the hospital!

Art in the Mountains

We went to Empire in the Colorado Rockies to visit our beloved friend Otti LeHoy. She is an artist and when we visit, she always has an art project for Morgan. This time I was included and got to explore my artistic side (or not so artistic). For our self portrait, we had to feel our faces with our hands and then close our eyes and draw. We got to paint with our eyes open, thankfully. Pretty interesting results. :-) We had a great time!!!

Taiwanese Dresses

My parents are serving a mission in Taichung, Taiwan and they sent the girls these traditional Chinese/Taiwanese outfits. They wore them to church on Sunday and looked darling!
My Chinese Girls!

Macy feeling pretty!
Strike a Pose!

Make-up

I came down one morning and saw both of my girls all prettied up! Morgan had done Macy's hair and put make-up on her. (I, frankly, was amazed Macy had let her!). Then, she had generously applied her own make-up and did her hair in pig-tails. They were so cute!

It's hard to tell, but Macy had a shiny face with
purple eyeshadow. Her hair was in a pony tail.

Morgan, always loving a good pose!
Macy not thrilled, but complying.

Lovin' on each other.

We love our little ones.
